if there's a second, will there be a third?

Found this on youtube. Basically it's talking in simple terms about what Second Life is about. I wouldn't need to talk much about the technical terms since that's covered in lecture this week already.

Frankly speaking, I've never had any experience playing around with avatars or life in the virtual world. In fact, as my friends doodle with their favourite game of SIMS(Which is a version of SL), I look at them blankly, wondering what's with the fascination.

So, I attempted to create my own little human being in the virtual space by visiting that website. Unfortunately, after having created the name of JELLY WAVOSKI and planning to live in the Ben and Jerry's Community.......

I FOUND OUT THAT THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SUPPORT VISTA ON MY COMPUTER. =(((

So...I'm still avatar-less and community-less online. Is that good or bad?

BUT, SHOULD I HAVE AN AVATAR:

1) I would have the perfect model's body and face. HAHAHA. Still an Asian though.

2) I would wear killer heels and different styles of boots everyday. (since i can't go out in heels without killing myself by falling down in real life =()

3) I would travel across international boundaries as and when i like.

4) I would have limitless MAGICAL POWERS!!!! -beams-

5) I would have limitless CASH AND PROPERTY.

6) I would have 7 cars. One per day for everyday of the week. -GRINS-

7) I would have a walk-in wardrobe for TOPS, one for BOTTOMS, another for SHOES. WAHAHAH.

8) I would have a scooter. and a harley davison.

9) I can eat a variety of crusine for every single meal. Also, I can eat 10 meals per day and wouldn't grow fat. MUAHAHAH.

10) I would be a vampire-mutant-magician.

perhaps people are intrigued by the fact that we can be anyone, anything, and have everything we don't in real life. there are no boundaries, no limits, no rules, no restrictions. who wouldn't be attracted?
